Her journey as a groomer took an international turn when she captained the Virginia State Grooming Team. Jennifer proudly represented her state and country, showcasing her skills on a global stage. At the international groom competition in South Korea, Jennifer's exceptional work with a Bichon secured her a remarkable second-place position, further solidifying her reputation as a world-class groomer.

 

Jennifer's talents transcended traditional grooming competitions. At the IJA National Championship, she showcased her versatility and creativity by securing first place in both freestyle and terriers and ultimately earning the coveted "Best All-Around Groomer" title.

As a founding USA Model Dog Team member, Jennifer played a crucial role in its success. Her exemplary leadership as a team captain and coordinator and exceptional grooming skills contributed to the team's crowning as world champions in both pure breed and creative categories.

 

Jennifer's love for dogs extended beyond grooming, leading her to establish Astyanax Poodles, a breeding kennel specializing in all three varieties of poodles. Her expertise and dedication have helped her handle multiple dogs to champion titles. In 2020 and 2021, she achieved remarkable success in handling the top-ranked poodles in the UKC rankings, solidifying her position as a premier handler in the industry.

 

As the owner-operator of a highly successful grooming salon, Jennifer provides top-notch care to beloved pets while sharing her knowledge and passion with her team. Her salon has received widespread recognition, winning numerous Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show awards, a testament to her commitment to excellence and exceptional grooming skills.
