Course Description

This course provides comprehensive training in First Aid and CPR for humans, canines, and felines. Students learn anatomy, vital signs, CPR procedures, Heimlich maneuves, and salon-specific emergency response. The curriculum prepares students to act effectively and safely in emergency situations with both pets and people.

Course Objectives

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

• Identify anatomy and vital signs of humans, canines, and felines.

• Perform CPR and Heimlich maneuvers for each species.

• Recognize and respond to emergencies such as bleeding, burns, seizures, shock, bloat, heat injury, and anaphylaxis.

• Assess pulse, respiration, hydration, temperature, and circulation.

• Apply professional safety standards and protective measures in emergency care.
