About the Course
Course Description
Bathing Man’s Best Friend introduces the complete foundational theory behind the Five Phases of the Grooming Process, focusing on Phase 1: Prepping, Phase 2: Bathing, Phase 3: Drying, and Phase 4: Brushing, with an emphasis on the skin and coat sciences essential to safe and effective pet bathing.
Students study canine skin, hair, and coat anatomy, learn about the 20 Nash System coat types, and explore how coat growth patterns, condition, and texture determine the proper bathing and product selection techniques. Coursework integrates visual learning modules, guided reading, and professional demonstrations that reinforce salon safety, handling, and sanitation standards.
