Course Description

This course introduces students to the key roles and relationships in the canine world and human–canine partnership. Topics include canine breed groups, their historical functions, and how these original purposes shape modern temperament, grooming requirements, and care expectations. Students will gain insight into breed-specific needs that inform handling, training, and owner education.


Course Objectives
