About Certification

The Trio! Understanding and Taking Care of the Canine, Feline, and Equine 

Whether you are a pet lover or pet care professional, the understanding and proper care of the dog, cat, and the horse is absolutely necessary to provide safe, kind, gentle, and compassionate handling at all times.

They are all complicated and sensitive creatures, and too often we humans take them for granted and make no attempt to understand what dogs, cats, and horses are trying to communicate with us through their behavior.

As pet lovers and professionals, we may not be vets, but we are the dog’s advocates and it is our job to make sure our companion animals receive the best care and receive veterinary care if necessary. 

We are the first line of defense for each and every pet that we handle, so being knowledgeable about the illnesses and injuries that afflict these pets is a huge part of our job.

This certification series has everything you need to know to properly care for our 3 companion animals. History, anatomy, physiology, nutrition, first aid and CPR, diseases and disorders, and more. 

Prerequisite: None

Time To Complete: 3 - 6 months, depending on the number of online courses taken per month

Certification Objective

Certification is designed to provide you with the knowledge to understand how to properly care for the dog, cat, and horse. Upon successful completion of this Certification Series, you will receive the prestigious Our Best Friends Companion Animals Specialist Certification.
